so i thought this semester of illustration class was really going to suck, but in fact.. it's really great. for our first project we're re-doing covers for catalogs that you get in the mail that nobody really knows.. or anybody really buys anything from there. the one i picked was Magic Cabin and i decided to put these little finger puppet like animals on the cover...kinda cutesy, kiddish sort of feel and so my teacher mr. kryczka sees my thumbnails and tells me this crazy idea that perhaps i should become a children's illustrator...and i always thought about it but never really saw myself doing it until now... i really think i could pull it off. especially because lately i've become more and more into watercolor and ive always loved using color pencils...

so when the first project is over, i'll definitely scan it in for some updated artwork for you guys. thanks for ...staying tuned?? lol i dunno..


haha oh man, as i type this the school's library is so quiet that my typing just seems too loud.. and i type pretty fast....blah. the keyboard is really gross though and ugly... and dirty... and i feel dirty.. i definitely want a laptop but i cant afford one now. jacky and i are definitely moving soemtime during the late summer. im going to find a job over the beginning of summer in downtown and start working there as soon as possible.. in hopes of making a good deal of money to afford the apartment we're thinking of getting (in hopes that we can get 2 other people to join us who are dependable) im crossing my fingers. i really need to get away from barnes & noble, a lot of things are starting to wear me out and a lot of people are leaving so i dont want to stay anymore and plus what im making now is just not exceptable.

wow so this entry has become pretty long. i think im going to go in the lounge... so this is just a little update on nykky's life. i guess.

i realize i have one too many blogs. and i dont know why i write in each of them. ooh well.
